A little reintroduction… because this page is growing with me ✨

For a long time, I thought I needed to choose one part of my life to share. Mental health. Business. Content creation. Counselling training. Community projects.

But the truth is, they all matter to me and they are more connected than they may initially seem. ✨
At the centre of everything I do is a desire to support people, bring meaningful ideas to life and create opportunities for others.

So, this page is becoming a home for all of it.

You can expect more behind-the-scenes moments, creative projects, mental-health and counselling reflections, community work and honest glimpses of what I’m learning along the way.

Yesterday’s @prostatecanceruk March for Men was incredible special.
It was difficult (even if I have walked my whole life) I definitely underestimated how long 20K is 🥹

I marched in honour of my Dad (miss you) and for every family affected by prostate cancer.

This weekend, I am Marching for Men.

On Saturday, I’ll be taking part in a lifesaving walk towards a better future for men affected by prostate cancer.

I am marching in honour of my Dad, who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2014. I sadly lost him on 10th June 2015.

Before his diagnosis, I had never really heard much about prostate cancer. Unfortunately, by the time my Dad was diagnosed, it was already too late. That is why awareness, early detection and research matter so much.

The last year of his life is something I will carry with me forever. During that time, my relationship and bond with my Dad grew even stronger. It was a deeply painful, but also bittersweet, chapter in our lives.

Your donation can make a huge difference to the 1 in 8 men who will get prostate cancer. It can help fund lifesaving research and provide vital support services for men and families navigating this disease.

Prostate cancer is one of the most survivable cancers when caught early. If you’re over 50, if you’re Black, or if your dad or brother has had prostate cancer, you may be at higher risk.

Please donate if you can, and please encourage the men in your life to check their risk.

You can’t hold space for others if you aren’t holding space for yourself. ☁️

This week, I set a firm 6 PM boundary for my inbox. The ‘guilt’ of not being instantly available is real, but so is the burnout that comes from being constantly tethered to our inbox.

In my second term of training, I’m learning that a therapist’s most valuable tool is their own capacity. If we are depleted by admin by 7 PM, we aren’t protecting our clinical longevity.

My ‘Digital Handover’ Routine:
1. Clear the deck: File any completed emails, this stops your inbox from being clogged up!
2. The To-Do List: Write down the first 3 things for tomorrow morning (so your brain stops ‘looping’ them).
3. The Shutdown: Shut the laptop and move it out of sight.

1. Started the year with red hair (if you know you know💃)

2. Feb was busy with the SITR campaign, shout out Alex - this girl knows how to SING! 💕

3. How did I only find out about Golden Dragon this year 🥺

4. If anyone knows me, my life revolves around food😅 April was a lovely month of catching up with friends! I also completed a highly impactful training course (Science of Violence) ✨

5. I was so happy I was able to join in our annual run for @cr_uk , this is something that is very close to my heart 💛

6. @bunsfromhome , please bring back the Dubai chocolate bun 😭

7. I was very lucky to be part of NextGen Visionaries pilot programme. I helped facilitate workshops throughout the summer and was blown away with the entrepreneurial mindset of the young people.

8. Went to see my team ❤️ The end of August marked the last workshop for NextGen Visionaries (We held a Dragons Den style pitch day where our young people pitched for their business to win our £500 business start up fund)

9. September - I finally saw my childhood crush!

10. Went to Fuerteventura to soak up the last of the summer, this was a much needed break! I tried to go offline but when you run your own business, you can’t FULLY be offline 🥹 This is not included in the post but I also started my Psychodynamic Counselling course (time is just a made up concept at this point 😅)

11. Can I just say the Cube is such a good activity! November for me is the start of the festive season, love seeing the lights and of course ‘tis the season for sweet treats!

12. Birthday month started on a high! Honestly my team are amazing and always show up, these women teach me so much on a daily basis, so very lucky to have them in my life 💕 This month made me feel very blessed for the close circle of people in my life 💕

January - starting the year strong with @billsrestaurant brunch! 🥞 (it is essential to get the two pancakes on the side)

February - i started the 75 hard challenge (I didn’t complete it 🫣) but in my daily walks, I encountered beautiful sunsets 💕

March - did my first sip and paint, and making myself believe i am an ‘Artiste’ 💅

April - I think this was around the time I failed with my 75 hard, but I was on my second book… (i am actually still trying to get through this one 😩)

May - this month was tricky as i as getting some bad gym anxiety (still trying to overcome it now) but i was really trying to show up for myself! ✌️

June - ah! June I would say was the worst month of the year for me personally, I was so grateful to my friends and colleagues for showing up for me and being the light and love I needed during this time ❤️

July - I was determined to prioritise my fitness, and did many, many mental health walks! 🚶‍♀️

August - spent an amazing day at @camdenmarketldn , was the first time going there in about 10 years 💕

September - Did the @thebig_bakes with my colleagues! Was amazing great day, would go there again! 🍰

October - I was in my autumn bag, spent some time in Richmond and Kingston. It was a beautiful day and I just remember feeling very grateful ❤️

November - Bills again! And of course had to get the two extra pancakes and hot chocolate! (If you have a blue light card, you can get 20% off your bill!)✌️

December - this month was very overwhelming, it has been the busiest month in terms of VA work and in the middle of it I was voted Employee of the Year at my workplace. 😅

Let’s see what 2025 has in store! ⭐️

This year I have been focusing on finding joy in little moments and also finding other things to do other than doom scrolling!
It is hard not to spend all your time on the laptop especially when you are trying to grow your business.

Painting is so peaceful and is such a cost effective activity in this cost of living crisis!
